Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer, has won many prizes and grants. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions around the globe on research and policies relating to children who are victims of the legal system. She also serves as a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
